Figuring Out Friendships:
A Mother-Daughter Workshop to Confront Relational Aggression
Who is Invited:
Girls in grades 4-7 with their mother, guardian or female companion.
What to Expect:
A fun, hands-on, interactive workshop with breakout sessions for girls, moms and both!
Goals of the Workshop:
- Empower girls to stand up for themselves and peers
- Increase understanding in adult women of girl’s social world
- Encourage positive alliances among girls and women
- Model healthy ways for girls to handle conflict and cope with stress
- Promote communication among peers and family members
- Discuss media interpretations of girls and women

Please note that in order to ensure that all our attendees feel comfortable participating and sharing, our policy prohibits friends from signing up for the same workshop. We also do our best to avoid having two girls from the same school in the same workshop, or at least from the same grade at that school. Thank you for your understanding.
