Challenging Mean Girls in the Media
Adjustment Matters Community Forum Series
Wednesday, September 22, 2010
7:00pm to 8:30pm at Borders, 3140 Lohr Road in Ann Arbor
Images of girls and women fighting with each other are a mainstay of reality television and scripted shows. They create a distorted and unhealthy depiction of relations among females.
Dr. Sharon Gold-Steinberg will present tools parents can use to help girls understand and critique these images. She will emphasize strategies to assist girls in creating positive alliances with each other as an antidote to relational aggression.
